 | Type: | Bug | Severity: | Major | | Status: | Fixed | Status Comment: | | | Title: | PDF reading on-the-fly produces unknown error and locks up | | Version: | 4.0.1 beta 4 | | Description: | I have a problem which i think takes only a nudge to make it work and it seems to be a general problem.

 Maybe related with bug 716

 1. Click on whatever .pdf there is on the net (i tried with both an attachment on one of my mails and a help file online available from my provider)
 2. A window will pop up asking what to do with the file
 3. Check OPEN WITH
 4. Choose "SYS:Utilities/AmiPDF/AmiPDF" and check "DO THIS FOR EVERY FILE OF THIS TYPE"
 5. Click START

A window will come up telling me that

T:xxx.pdf could not be saved because an unknown error occured.
 Try saving to another location.

I checked T: and a xxx.pdf.part file is being created (o bytes in size?) when i click on OPEN WITH in the aforementioned window, but nothing can be written there because of the error popping up.

Also the .part file is never removed.

 I tried a few times and after the error window occured the system goes unstable and normally locks up (no grim). | | Created: | 20120701 08:16 by Raziel | | Assigned: | 19700101 01:00 to | | Fixed: | 19700101 01:00 by | | Closed: | 19700101 01:00 by | | Comments: | 2 |
