Clicking into the field does not activate it, and nothing can be typed into it.
I think I've seen a similar thing with a few other sites, but I don't know if there is any relation.
The search field works fine in other browsers, e.g. MUI-OWB and in Firefox on Windows and Iceweasel on Debian PPC.
