Same here dragging an HTML page, maybe is Javascript related, or the fact that isn't a single page but when saved into HD it contains other files...
joergRe: Local file dont work anymore20100508 14:44
I cant access my local page anymore that i use as homepage:
HOME=file:///Work/HTML/private/links.html
I can't reproduce problems with such file URLs.

Also another local page i have problems with is:
file:///help:kicko/p2p.html
Use file:///help/kicko/p2p.html instead.

It's working here without any problems, no matter if it's a single file or loading other parts as well.
Without an example which doesn't work there is nothing I can do.

Well long reply here, try to save locally (in RAM) this page:

http://www.qimmagine.it/owb/compatibility.html

Then try to open it via WB menu, you may have this error:

--------------------------------------------
AmigaDOS Process 241

Insert a disk
RAM%20Disk:
In a disk unit

Process: "OWB"
--------------------------------------------

Instead if you simply drag it on OWB all goes ok

Drag&drop works very well with all kind of files (image, text files, and this page too) but it stop to work if you save an HTML page with other files on it, for example save this page (again in RAM Disk)

http://amigaworld.net/

Then try to open it via WB menu (it ask again for mount) but ... strange it works if you simply drag it over OWB via drag/drop !

@samo79

I can reproduce the problems with "Ram Disk:" (or any other volume name with a space), but no other problems with files.
samo79Re: Local file issue20100508 15:08
@joerg

Did you try also to open single file (an image for example) via WB menu option ?

Yes, and it's working here.

@joerg

Ok maybe 've found why they doen't open an image via WB menu :-)
If you try to open a file stored in RAM DISK, the space between "RAM and Disk" can be a problem

So as experiment I stored a file into a different device (named HD) and now it works :-D

Aniway opening an HTML sometimes can be problematic as it only show the source code instead to showing the content of the page
samo79Re: Local file issue20100508 15:29
@samo79

So drag a file stored in RAM DISK works perfecly but opening the same file at the same directory via WB menudoes not (tryed with GnGeo HTML page)

Also if I open certain HTML page it show me the source instead to the page, i will be crazy in this bug report ! :-D

@samo79

Also if I open certain HTML page it show me the source instead to the page
For local files the file name is used to get the MIME type, HTML pages only work if the file name ends with ".html" or ".htm".
