For local files the filename is used for the MIME type, for XHTML files (MIME type application/xhtml+xml) it has to end in ".xhtml".
If you use something else you can manually select the correct MIME type on http://validator.w3.org/

Yes, ok, but all other browsers, IBrowse and AWeb included haven't this problem...
It's the same in all other browsers, for example I tested it renaming a XHTML file to "xhtml.data" and uploading it with AWeb. AWeb sents it with Content-Type: application/octet-stream as well and the error is exactely the same.
