Open file -> select more than one video. View the first video in fullscreen mode (specifically -fs) and either wait for it to finish or hit enter. This will cause Grim Reaper to report a DSI, when the second stream should be starting.
Using -playlist or the commandline with multiple files or urls will also have this effect.
