|You are right the program should inform the user about the fact it *is* doing something, so I would say :
- a busy pointer is a minimum,
- a progress bar is not possible as I don't know how many files I'll lhave to deal with before actually browsing the whole direecory tree, doing this one time just to count files and then a second time to actually compare the files whould really be a great waste of time IMHO, however I can open a requeser displaying what it's currently doing...
- a cancel option might also be great
