Title:Wrong user-agent
Version:3.23
Navigate: 1-7
joergRe: Wrong user-agent20100407 16:59
The user-agent of the current version is "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Origyn Web Browser; AmigaOS 4.x; U; en) AppleWebKit/532.8+ (KHTML, like Gecko, Safari/532.8+)", it never included "OWB" nor the AmigaOS 4.x OWB version number.
You probably have set the environment variable OWB_USER_AGENT to "OWB/3.12 (AmigaOS 4.1; ppc; U)".

Hi Joerg, first welcome back !!

Well that's ok but I don't understand why i've this "3.12" string if I used release 3.23

I never change any variable on my OWB config, just some (not-related) tooltypes so why that site report my version as OWB/3.12 ?

:-)

Because you have set it to 3.12 :-)
OWB doesn't check nor replace anything in custom user-agent strings set wiht the OWB_USER_AGENT variable.

You did set the OWB_USER_AGENT environment variable, there is no other way to get the user-agent you get. Use "UnSetEnv DELETE OWB_USER_AGENT" in a shell to remove it.

@joerg

Mmm i'm quite sure that I didn't change anythings !
Aniway I'll try to "UnSetEnv" it ... :-/

Sorry but i have the same problem and i haven't set any variable.. maybe some internal variable that could cause that problem?

No, the only way the user-agent can be changed from the default "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Origyn Web Browser; AmigaOS 4.1; U; en) AppleWebKit/532.8+ (KHTML, like Gecko, Safari/532.8+)" (or "... ; AmigaOS 4.0; ..." when running OWB on AmigaOS 4.0) is the OWB_USER_AGENT environment variable.

Did you check that it's really not set, for example using "echo ${OWB_USER_AGENT}" in a shell?
samo79Re: Wrong user-agent20100520 03:03
@joerg

So is it possible to add a simple variable in user agent:

"Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Origyn Web Browser; AmigaOS 4.x; U; en) AppleWebKit/532.8+ (KHTML, like Gecko, Safari/532.8+)"

To be able to check automatically the real version number of the version used ?

A things like:

"Origyn Web Browser 3.27; AmigaOS 4.x; U; en" etc ...
