OWB I believe uses shared object version, right?
So, if I use my old version of expat.so then OWB 3.22 has these crash problems, while if I install new one on OS4Depot problems are gone.

No, currently OWB doesn't use any shared objects at all.
So, if I use my old version of expat.so then OWB 3.22 has these crash problems, while if I install new one on OS4Depot problems are gone.
Please insert a check on libraries you use... |

OWB itself doesn't use expat at all, the StringView gadget it's using uses exapt.library and it should even work with expat.library version 2.x. I've changed it to check for version 53 instead now (no idea if it really needs version 53, but with the expat.library 53.3 (14.9.2009) I'm using it works). | | |
