Title:Using "find option" open also search URL
Version:3.22
Navigate: 1-7
joergRe: Using "find option" open also search URL20091229 19:40
If you try to search somethings, OWB open both "find" and "search URL" with the automatic focus of the cursor at the last one
Doesn't happen here, is there anything special you have to do to get that strange effect?

Maybe the correct way is open only the finder and put the automatical focus on it
Of course, and it's working that way here.

@joerg

Absolutely not ! :-)

I have always this strange effect in 3.22 and I don't know why it's happen ...

Exact same problem. If you ctrl+f (or use menu), the cursor is placed in the URL field instead. When you then click back in the Find bar, type something and press enter, the cursor is placed back into the URL field AGAIN, and again and again.. you can't press enter repeatedly to find stuff. It's only "useable" by clicking the rotational buttons.

This bug also has the effect of opening the URL dropdown box everytime something is searched or when you press Enter after typing something in the Find box.

REALLY REALLY annoying! :)

So that's 3 confirmed cases so far, me, Kicko and samo.

Edit: I run OWB on a Workbench like public screen. I also updated my "Bookmark edit" bug with that note.

Looks like I'll have to create a plain AmigaOS 4.1 installation (without any beta updates) for finding the problem and adding a workaround, but that will take some time, maybe AmigaOS 4.1 update 1 is even released before I'll have time for that ...
samo79Re: Using "find option" open also search URL20091230 02:45
@joerg

Having this bug fixed in the actual 4.1 would be always better expecially because there are always people with plain AmigaOS 4.0 or other that will remain with plain 4.1, update or not (there are always crazy people out there!)

But it depends also of when the update will be availible, rumor say very soon ...

After the update is released I'll remove all workarounds for AmigaOS 4.1 without update 1 and simply change OWB to abort with an error requester.

Support for AmigaOS 4.0 is something different since it's required for the classic Amiga users. As soon as Timberwolf is released they will be the only ones still using OWB (and users of other hardware with too few RAM for Timberwolf, AFAIK you can't install more than 512 MB RAM in an µA1).
