When you type in form text input fields, horribly memory is allocating. One keypress is approx 0.5 MB!

Try to type in the right text area on the following site:
http://www.w3schools.com/html/showit.asp?filename=tryhtml_textarea
I can't reproduce text input field related memory leaks, the one on the w3schools page was caused by the gif anim.

@joerg

When I start to write this post avail has just printed that 119 435 264 bytes of free memory.

Please try this:

www.kezdobetu.hu/owbtest.html

There is no gifanmis or anything else.

Press and hold a key to fill the field, and then delete it with backspace. That consumes about 3 MB for me.

The free memory after write the above post is: 7 053 312 !!

Edit: I have OS4.1

I've been having similar issues, I have a Pegasos2 with 1GB of RAM, and after writing a few comments on AW.net, etc. I end up with half of my RAM eaten. But it's not only the memory consumtion that is strange, occasionally the text input is halted, for example I have some text typed in, and I hold the backspace to delete it, it starts to delete then it pauses for many seconds, before it continues to delete the rest of the text. The same happens when typing, sometimes it just stops responding for some secs.

We should re-test with OWB 3.10 now...

@COBRA

We should re-test with OWB 3.10 now...
I could reduce it a little bit in some cases, but the memory leak is still there in 3.10.
